Product name:Silicone Defoamer Emulsion for Polymer Latexes & Waterborne Coatings

Product code:NV-DF 9041

Chemical Characterization: Polyether-Modified Polysiloxane Emulsion

Product Description

NV-DF9041 is a high-performance polyether-modified silicone defoamer emulsion designed for effective foam control in polymer latexes, waterborne coatings and other aqueous formulations.

It combines rapid foam knockdown with excellent compatibility and water dispersibility, providing effective dynamic foam control during processing while maintaining persistent foam suppression.

Its optimized silicone-polyether structure provides good compatibility with a variety of waterborne polymer and resin systems, making NV-DF9041 suitable for applications where effective foam control and formulation compatibility are both required.

Key Benefits & Features

Excellent Compatibility: Provides effective foam control while maintaining good compatibility with waterborne polymer and latex systems.

Rapid Foam Knockdown: Quickly reduces foam generated during production and processing.

Persistent Foam Control: Provides sustained foam suppression during continued processing.

Good Dynamic Performance: Effective under dynamic processing conditions and agitation.

Excellent Water Dispersibility: Easily disperses in water-based systems.Broad Formulation

Compatibility: Functions effectively in various waterborne resin emulsions, including acrylics, styrene-acrylics, VAE, and water-soluble alkyds.

High Active Content: 50 ± 1% solid content provides efficient foam control with relatively low addition levels.

Applications

NV-DF9041 is broadly recommended for foam control across coatings, inks, adhesives, and industrial processing:

Polymer Latexes & Emulsions: Monomer stripping, latex polymerization, and binder processing for acrylic, styrene-acrylic, PVA, VAE, and water-soluble alkyd systems.

Architectural & Industrial Coatings: Interior/exterior latex paints, primers, industrial wood finishes, and protective waterborne coatings.

Inks & Adhesives: Water-based flexographic/gravure printing inks, overprint varnishes (OPV), and waterborne adhesives.

Industrial Chemical Processing: Natural gas desulfurization units, industrial cleaning solutions, and oil-gas/water separation processes.

The suitability of NV-DF9041 should be evaluated according to the specific formulation and processing conditions.

Application Guide

Recommended Dosage: Typically 0.2% to 0.5% based on the total formulation weight. Optimal loading should be verified through laboratory ladder tests.

Incorporation Method: Can be added directly during production or pre-dispersed prior to use. For paint manufacturing, it is recommended to add 50% during the grinding stage and the remaining 50% during let-down. Enhanced synergistic effects can be achieved when paired with wetting agents.

Dilution Protocol: Can be diluted with deionized water or a portion of the binder vehicle if pre-dilution is required. Diluted mixtures should be well stirred and consumed promptly to maintain stability.

Handling & Precautions

Stir or agitate the container thoroughly before each use to ensure absolute product homogeneity after prolonged standing.

Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. In case of accidental contact, flush immediately with plenty of running water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Storage:

Temperature Range: Store in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 5℃and 35℃ Protect strictly from freezing temperatures (0℃) and avoid direct exposure to scorching solar heat.

Shelf Life: The standard shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in the originally sealed, air-tight containers under the recommended conditions.

Packaging Closure: Keep containers tightly sealed immediately after dispensing product to prevent surface skinning, moisture loss, or airborne contamination.
