Product name:Concentrated Silicone Antifoam Compound for Waterborne Coatings & Inks

Product code: NV-DF 9045

Active Ingredients:Polyether-Modified Silicone Compound with Silica Derivatives

Product Description

NV-DF9045 is a 100% active, concentrated organosilicon antifoam compound developed for waterborne formulations, including coatings, inks and pigment concentrates.

It provides effective defoaming performance during processing and is particularly suitable for addition during the grinding and pigment dispersion stage.

NV-DF9045 is especially suitable for pure acrylic emulsions, styrene-acrylic emulsions, polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) and mixed resin systems. It is also suitable for a wide range of waterborne coating and printing ink applications.

Typical propertes:

Appearance: Translucent to slight hazy, viscous liquid

Active Matter (wt%): 100%

Viscosity (at 25℃): Approx. 80 - 300 mPa.s

Density (at 20℃, g/cm³): 0.98 - 1.01

Dispersion / Solubility: Dispersible in waterborne resins & glycol solvents

Key Benefits & Features

100% Active: Highly concentrated antifoam compound for efficient foam control.

Excellent Grinding Performance: Particularly suitable for foam control during the grinding stage of waterborne formulations.

Effective Defoaming and Antifoaming: Provides effective foam reduction and helps suppress foam regeneration during processing.

Broad Resin Compatibility: Suitable for pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic, polyurethane dispersion and mixed resin systems.

Good Compatibility: Designed for use in a variety of waterborne coating and ink formulations.

High-Shear Process Compatibility: Suitable for applications involving high shear during grinding and mixing.

Applications

NV-DF9045 is recommended for foam control in the following waterborne applications:

Wood & Furniture Coatings: Wood finishes and parquet floor coatings.

Architectural Coatings

Industrial Coatings

Printing Inks: Flexographic and gravure printing inks.

Pigment Concentrates

Automotive Coatings

Inkjet Inks

Leather Coatings: Polyurethane- and acrylic-emulsion-based systems.

Application Guide

Grinding Stage

NV-DF9045 is particularly suitable for addition during the grinding or pigment dispersion stage of waterborne formulations.

Addition during the grinding stage is recommended where high shear is available to facilitate effective incorporation and foam control.

Let-Down / Varnish Stage

When NV-DF9045 is added during the paint mixing, let-down or varnish stage, high shear dispersion or pre-dilution is recommended to facilitate uniform incorporation into the formulation.

The appropriate pre-dilution method should be selected according to the specific formulation and processing conditions.

Dosage

The optimum dosage and addition point should be determined through application testing according to the specific formulation, processing conditions and foam generation characteristics.

Handling & Precautions

Slight separation or settling may occur after long periods of standing. This is normal and does not impact quality; always mix thoroughly before use to ensure perfect product uniformity.

Keep containers tightly closed when not in use to prevent atmospheric moisture contamination.

Storage:

Temperature Range: Store in original, un-opened packaging at temperatures between 5℃and 40℃. Protect from freezing and direct extreme heat.

Shelf Life: The minimum shelf life is 12 months from the production date, provided it is kept in air-tight containers under recommended parameters.
