Product Description

NV-DF9043 is a 100% active polyether-modified silicone defoamer designed for waterborne clear and pigmented coating formulations. It provides good defoaming performance in a variety of waterborne emulsion systems and is particularly suitable for use in clear varnishes, pigmented coatings and water-based color paste grinding processes.

Application Guide

Recommended Dosage:

The recommended dosage is generally 0.1–0.5% based on total formulation weight.

The optimum dosage should be determined through application testing according to the specific emulsion system and processing conditions.

Handling Instruction:

Stir well before use. Pre-dilution with a suitable solvent is recommended where improved mixing and incorporation efficiency is required.

Incorporation Method:

- Grinding Stage (Preferred): NV-DF 9043 is particularly suitable for addition during the grinding stage of water-based color pastes and pigment concentrates.

Pre-dilution with a suitable solvent can be used to improve mixing efficiency.

- Let-down / Paint Mixing Stage: When NV-DF 9043 is used during the paint mixing or let-down stage, high-shear dispersion or pre-dilution is required to facilitate uniform incorporation.

The appropriate incorporation method should be confirmed according to the specific formulation and processing conditions.

Stir well before use.

Keep containers tightly sealed immediately after dispensing to avoid evaporation of active components or airborne contamination.

Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse space

Storage：

Temperature Range: Maintain stored inside original factory-sealed containers between 5℃and 35℃. Avoid direct exposure to freezing temperatures and high thermal conditions.

Shelf Life: Stable for 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored properly under airtight conditions
