Product Description

The NV-SIPH-HT Series consists of premium-grade polymethylphenylsiloxane fluids engineered specifically for extreme thermal environments and high-performance industrial lubrication. Featuring a molecular backbone enriched with phenyl groups, these fluids provide exceptional resistance to thermal oxidation, shear breakdown, and high-energy radiation compared to standard dimethyl silicone oils. The NV-SIPH-HT Series covers a wide viscosity range to meet diverse requirements in heat transfer, damping, and heavy-duty lubrication.

* Viscosity grades for HT-350H and 350M can be precisely tailored between 100 cSt and 20,000 cSt upon customer request. Standard commercial grades include 100, 500, 1000, 5000, and 20000 cSt.

Key Benefits & Features

Superb Thermal Stability: Operates continuously at temperatures up to 250℃ (and up to 350℃ for the 350H/350M grades) without gelation or significant thermal degradation.

High Flash Point & Low Volatility: Flash points exceeding 280°C/300°C ensure a high margin of safety in open or closed thermal systems.

Excellent Radiation Resistance: Resists molecular cross-linking and viscosity alteration under high-energy radiation, outperforming standard Dimethicone.

Superior Shear & Compressibility: Maintains precise lubricating and damping performance under severe mechanical shear and high-pressure profiles.

Applications

Heat Transfer Fluids: Ideal as a high-temperature heat carrier/thermal oil for laboratory oil baths, calibration baths, and industrial heat exchangers.

Lubricant Base Oil: Serves as the high-temperature base fluid for formulation of premium greases used in high-speed fan bearings, automotive engine components, and ball bearings.

Damping & Shock Absorption: High-viscosity grades (NV-SIPH-HT -1000 to 2000) are utilized as severe-service damping fluids in industrial instrumentation, dashpots, and automotive clutches.

Plastics Additive: Used as an internal lubricant or process aid in engineering plastics to improve surface release and melt processability.

Application Guide

Viscosity Selection: Choose the viscosity grade based on your specific pumping, sealing, or damping parameters. For rapid heat transfer, lower viscosity grades (NV-SIPH-HT -050/150) are recommended; for vibration isolation, select high-viscosity grades.

System Cleansing: Before filling the system with NV-SIPH-HT fluids, ensure the equipment is thoroughly cleaned and free of residual moisture, mineral oils, or degrading organic residues.

Blending: NV-SIPH-HT  fluids are fully miscible with each other, allowing custom viscosity adjustments. They are also highly compatible with many organic solvents, resins, and lubricants.

Handling & Precautions

Avoid Contamination: Keep containers tightly sealed. Contamination by moisture, strong acids, bases, or catalytic metals (like iron or tin) can drastically lower the thermal stability and cause premature gelation at high temperatures.

Ventilation: Use with adequate ventilation, especially when operating near or at the maximum temperature limit, to prevent inhalation of localized vapor drafts.

Safety Data Sheet: Review the corresponding Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) prior to handling for detailed toxicological and safety exposure limits.

Storage:

Store in original, unopened containers in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, open flames, and incompatible materials.

Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions.
