Product Description

NV-AD4100 is a 100% active, nonionic siloxane-based Gemini surfactant designed for waterborne coating and ink formulations. It provides efficient surface tension reduction and excellent substrate wetting, particularly on difficult-to-wet or low-energy substrates.

NV-AD4100 also offers effective anti-cratering performance and helps suppress foam stabilization during formulation and application. Its foam-destabilizing characteristics facilitate foam release while minimizing the tendency to stabilize foam.

With good compatibility across a broad range of waterborne resin systems, NV-AD4100 is suitable for applications requiring a balance of dynamic wetting, substrate wetting, anti-cratering performance, and foam control.

Key Benefits & Features

Efficient Surface Tension Reduction: Rapidly reduces surface tension and improves dynamic wetting performance.
Excellent Substrate Wetting: Promotes rapid and uniform wetting of difficult-to-wet and low-energy substrates.
Foam Suppression: Helps suppress foam stabilization and facilitates foam release during formulation and application.
Excellent Anti-Cratering Performance: Helps prevent and eliminate surface defects such as craters, crawling, and other wetting-related defects.
Good Compatibility: Provides good compatibility with a broad range of waterborne resin and coating systems.

Recommended Applications

Water-Based Wood Coatings (Highly Recommended)

Water-Based Industrial Coatings (Highly Recommended)

Printing Inks (Highly Recommended)

Plastic Coatings (Highly Recommended)

Note: NV-AD4100 focuses primarily on superior dynamic wetting and foam control. It is recommended to test stability and performance thoroughly in extreme pH environments.

Formulation Guide & Usage Level:

Recommended Dosage:

Typically added at 0.1% to 1.0% based on the total weight of the formulation.

For high-gloss transparent clear coats, 0.1% to 0.3% is usually sufficient. For heavily contaminated substrates or highly resinated inks, loading can be safely increased up to 0.5%–1.0%.

The optimal dosage should be determined via a series of lab evaluations.

Incorporation Guide:

pH Range Recommendation:For waterborne systems, a pH range of 6.5–8.5 is recommended. For formulations operating under strongly acidic or strongly alkaline conditions, compatibility, storage stability, and long-term wetting performance should be evaluated prior to use.
NV-AD4100 can be added as supplied or via pre-dilution in a suitable solvent.
Addition during the letdown (post-addition) stage under standard mechanical agitation is recommended.
Ensure uniform mixing for 15 to 20 minutes to achieve homogeneous distribution. High-shear milling is generally not required.

Storage Conditions & Shelf Life:

Store in original, tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and strong oxidizing or acidic/alkaline materials.

At least 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened, original containers between 0℃ and 40℃.

Package:25KG,200kg
