Product Description:
NV-DF130 and DF133 are 100% active, low-VOC, nonionic wetting agent based on advanced ethoxylated acetylenic glycol chemistry. Representing a new generation of highly branched wetting technology, it is specifically engineered for difficult-to-wet substrates requiring exceptional flow and leveling under diverse and demanding application conditions.
By reacting varying target amounts of ethylene oxide (EO) with the advanced acetylenic diol base, these products deliver a superlative combination of equilibrium and dynamic surface tension reduction, making it a premium alternative to silicone or fluorosurfactants. Its unique molecular structure allows it to migrate instantly to newly formed interfaces—eliminating film defects without the common drawbacks of stabilized foam, water sensitivity, or intercoat adhesion issues.
Key Benefits & Features:
Superlative Interfacial Activity: Both grades dramatically reduce equilibrium and dynamic surface tension at low addition levels (0.1 wt%), eradicating common defects like crawling, pinholes, retraction, and fisheyes.
Low Foaming Character: Provides rapid wet-out under high-speed mechanical application (spraying, roller, or printing) without stabilizing macro-foam or micro-foam.
No Impact on Recoatability: Unlike silicone oils or fluorosurfactants, these acetylenic diol derivatives do not migrate to form an un-recoatable layer, preserving crisp intercoat adhesion and gloss.
Excellent Performance Stability: Both surfactants maintain robust surface activity across a wide pH range (4–9), show outstanding chemical stability in high-electrolyte formulations, and exhibit exceptional thermal stability across a wide temperature spectrum.
Eco-Friendly: Low VOC, APEO-free, and non-hazardous.
Recommended Applications:
Water-based Printing Inks & OPVs: High-speed inkjet, flexographic, and gravure inks over packaging stocks. (NV-DF130 is highly recommended for ultra-high speed; NV-DF133 is ideal where ultimate solution clarity is vital).
Water-based Industrial Coatings: Automotive OEM, architectural trim paints, industrial wood coatings, and primers for plastics/metals.
Water-based Adhesives: Wetting and coverage over low-energy plastic lines or silicone release liners.
Specialty Systems: Waterborne Polyurethane (PU) systems, luxury leather coatings, and high-performance fountain solutions.

NV-DF130 : Optimized for applications requiring maximum dynamic surface tension reduction and the absolute lowest foam profile. It excels in high-speed coating/printing on highly low-energy, oily, or heavily contaminated plastic films.
NV-DF133: Formulated with an increased degree of ethoxylation to provide enhanced water solubility, exceptional formulation clarity, and broader resin compatibility, while maintaining highly robust substrate wetting performance.
Formulation Guide & Usage Level:
Recommended Dosage: Typically added between 0.1% and 2.0% based on the total formulation weight.
In clear formulations, it can be highly effective at 0.1 wt%. For highly resinated or pigmented systems, loading may be increased up to 1.0 wt%.
Addition Order:: Products should be added directly into the formulation stage after the polymer emulsion (binder) and pigment introduction.
Incorporation: Standard mechanical agitation for 15 to 30 minutes is fully sufficient to ensure complete, homogenous dispersion. High-shear equipment is not required.
Equilibration: Allow the completed formulation to rest/equilibrate for 24 hours after addition to achieve optimal interfacial performance.
Handling & Precautions
Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated storage space away from direct heat sources.
