Product name:Silicone Antifoam Compound for Solvent-Based & Oil-Based Formulations

Product code: NV-DF 9306

Chemical Characterization:100% Silicone Antifoam Compound

Product Description

NV-DF9306 is a high-performance, 100% active silicone antifoam compound designed for efficient foam prevention and rapid foam knockdown in a wide range of industrial processes.

The product provides excellent foam control at low use levels and is particularly suitable for solvent-based and other non-aqueous systems. It can also be used in selected aqueous formulations where effective dispersion can be achieved.

Typical applications include PCB printing inks, solvent-based and oil-based inks, epoxy flooring systems, antifreeze fluids, automotive fluids, cleaners and disinfectants, and other industrial formulations where rapid and persistent foam control is required.

Typical propertes:

Appearance:Translucent gray liquid

Active Content:100%

Viscosity at 25℃: 2,000–5,000 mPa·s

Recommended Diluents:Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils and other compatible organic solvents

The above values are typical properties and are not intended to be used as product specifications.

Key Benefits & Features

Highly effective foam control at low dosage

Rapid elimination of macro- and micro-bubbles

Excellent foam knockdown performance

Suitable for a wide range of non-aqueous industrial systems

Compatible with a variety of hydrocarbon-based solvents and mineral oils

100% active silicone antifoam compound

Suitable for both process foam control and foam prevention

Applications

NV-DF9306 can be used in a variety of industrial applications, including:

PCB printing inks

Oil-based and solvent-based inks

Epoxy flooring and resin systems

Antifreeze and automotive fluids

Vehicle and industrial oils

Cleaners and disinfectants

Solvent-based industrial formulations

Other non-aqueous systems requiring efficient foam control

Application Guide

NV-DF9306 is highly effective at low concentrations. A typical starting dosage is approximately 10–1,000 ppm, depending on the formulation, foaming tendency and processing conditions.

For difficult or highly foaming systems, higher concentrations may be required. The optimum dosage should be determined by laboratory and application testing.

For best performance:

  • Agitate or homogenize the product before use.
  • Where necessary, predilute NV-DF9306 with a suitable low-viscosity solvent to improve dispersion.
  • Add the antifoam before or at the point where foam formation occurs, whenever practical.
  • When used in solvent-based systems, ensure that the selected diluent is compatible with the formulation.
  • The optimum dosage and addition method should be determined according to the specific application.

Solubility and Dispersion

NV-DF9306 has limited solubility in water and low-molecular-weight alcohols. It is readily dispersible or soluble in a variety of hydrocarbon-based solvents and mineral oils.

Suitable diluents should be selected according to the requirements of the specific formulation.

For systems with high sensitivity to surface defects, cratering or recoatability, compatibility testing is recommended before commercial use.

Recommended Use Level

General industrial formulations:10–1,000 ppm

Highly foaming systems:Higher dosage may be required

Difficult or special applications:Determined by application testing

The actual dosage depends on the composition of the foaming medium, processing conditions, agitation intensity, temperature and desired foam-control performance.

Handling & Precautions

Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat and direct sunlight. Before use, thoroughly agitate the product to ensure uniformity.

If the product is prediluted, use the diluted mixture as soon as practical and ensure that the selected diluent is compatible with the antifoam and the final formulation.

For detailed safety, handling and regulatory information, please refer to the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
