Product Description

NV-MQ910 is a non-linear, Si–O-based methyl MQ silicone resin produced via a TEOS-based hydrolysis and condensation process. The M/Q ratio and molecular structure of the M units determine its characteristic properties and application performance.

Applications

NV-MQ910 is designed for use in silicone oil/silica-based defoaming systems. It can enhance

antifoaming performance, improve thermal stability and resistance to acidic and alkaline conditions, and help maintain the activity and stability of the active components.

Recommended Dosage

For general silicone defoamer formulations, 2–10% NV-MQ910 is recommended, depending on the formulation and desired performance.

For high-performance silicone defoamers based on silicone oil/silica systems, an MQ resin dosage of 8–12% is recommended to significantly enhance antifoaming performance.

Handling & Precautions

Handle the product in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.

Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated contact with skin.

Avoid generating excessive dust during handling, mixing, or transfer.

Ensure adequate ventilation when handling the product, particularly during formulation and processing.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, protective gloves, and suitable work clothing.

Keep the container tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination and moisture absorption.

In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Packaging & Shelf Life

Packaging: Available in 30 kg plastic pails, 140 kg metal drum

Storage Conditions: Protect the product from moisture and prolonged exposure to humid conditions, as moisture may affect its physical properties and processing performance.

Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in the original, unopened container under recommended storage conditions.
