Product name:High-Performance Silicone Emulsion Antifoamer
Product code: NV-DF9505
Active Ingredients: Polysiloxanes, modified polysiloxanes, silicone resin and silica
Emulsification: Self-emulsifying characteristics
Product Description
NV-DF9505 is a ready-to-use, water-based silicone emulsion antifoam designed for rapid foam reduction and effective foam control in demanding aqueous industrial processes.
The product is formulated from polysiloxanes, modified polysiloxanes, silicone resin, silica, dispersing agents and stabilizing agents. It is particularly suitable for foam control in pulp and paper processing and industrial wastewater treatment.
NV-DF9505 provides stable antifoaming performance under strongly alkaline conditions from pH 10 to 14 and at moderate to high temperatures of approximately 60–90℃, making it suitable for industrial processes where both alkaline conditions and elevated temperatures are encountered.
Typical propertes:
Appearance:White to yellowish uniform liquid emulsion, free from visible sediment and mechanical impurities
pH:6.5–8.5
Nonvolatile Content: 63.0±3.0%
Key Benefits & Features
Rapid foam reduction
Effective antifoaming performance
Stable performance under strongly alkaline conditions
Suitable for use at elevated process temperatures
Designed for pulp-making and wastewater-treatment applications
Water-based emulsion form for convenient industrial application

Applications
Pulp & Paper Processing
NV-DF9505 is recommended for foam control in pulp-making and related aqueous pulp-processing operations.
Typical applications include:
The product is particularly suitable for processes involving elevated temperatures and alkaline conditions.
Industrial Wastewater Treatment
NV-DF9505 is suitable for foam control in industrial wastewater-treatment processes where persistent or excessive foam may interfere with process operation.
It can be considered for use in various aqueous wastewater-processing stages according to the specific process conditions.
Other Aqueous Industrial Processes
NV-DF9505 may also be evaluated for other aqueous industrial applications where rapid silicone-based foam control is required.
Application trials are recommended to determine the optimum dosage and addition point for each specific process.
Application Guide
NV-DF9505 is supplied as a ready-to-use aqueous silicone emulsion.
If dilution is required, the product may be diluted with suitable water before application.
For dilution:
Use appropriate dilution water with suitable quality for the intended application.
Maintain a stirring speed of approximately 30–60 rpm.
Keep the mixing time as short as practical and generally no longer than 10 minutes.
Avoid excessive agitation, which may adversely affect the physical stability of the emulsion.
The optimum dilution ratio, dosage and addition point should be determined according to the specific process conditions.
For best performance, the antifoam should preferably be introduced at a location where it can disperse rapidly and uniformly throughout the foaming system.
Recommended Addition
The optimum dosage depends on:
① Foam intensity
② Process temperature
③ pH and chemical composition
④ Process flow rate
⑤ Addition point
⑥ Required foam-control level
Laboratory and/or on-site trials are recommended to determine the optimum dosage and addition method before commercial application.
Handling & Precautions
Handle according to standard industrial chemical handling practices.
Avoid unnecessary contact with eyes and skin.
Appropriate protective gloves and eye protection are recommended during handling.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
Protect the product from contamination.
Do not intentionally add acids, alkalis, salts or other corrosive substances directly to the product.
Avoid prolonged or excessive mechanical agitation.
Packaging & Storage:
Packaging: Supplied in 25 kg plastic pails, 200 kg drums, or customized containers.
Storage: Store in unopened original packaging in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area (5℃ to 35℃). Keep away from direct sunlight, open flames, and heat sources. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Handle fire hazards using standard petroleum chemical firefighting procedures.
Shelf Life: 9 months from the manufacturing date under recommended storage conditions.
