Product name:High-Performance Silicone Antifoam Compound for Pulping & Processing

Product code: NV-DF9503

Active Ingredients: Compound of polydimethylsiloxane and silica particles

Product Description

NV-DF9503 is a 100% active silicone antifoam compound based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and silica. It is a high-viscosity, solvent-free silicone Defoamer designed for effective foam control in demanding industrial processes.

The product provides strong foam knockdown and persistent foam suppression, allowing effective foam control at relatively low addition levels. NV-DF9503 is particularly suitable as an active base for the preparation of aqueous silicone antifoam emulsions or dispersions.

It can be used in a variety of foaming systems, including pulp and paper processing, pulp washing, surfactant systems, polymer processing, industrial washing and other applications where persistent foam control is required.

Typical propertes:

Appearance: Gray-white viscous liquid

Active Content:100% (Solvent-Free)

Viscosity (at 25℃):30,000–80,000 mPa.s

Key Benefits & Features

NV-DF9503 can be formulated into suitable aqueous silicone antifoam emulsions or dispersions according to the specific process requirements.

Surfactant & Detergent Systems

NV-DF9503 is suitable for foam control in conventional surfactant and detergent systems, particularly in applications where rapid foam reduction combined with persistent foam suppression is required.

Typical applications include:

  • Industrial detergents
  • Cleaning formulations
  • Concentrated surfactant systems
  • Aqueous washing processesPolymer Processing

Can be used for foam control in polymer and other industrial systems where strong and persistent silicone-based antifoaming performance is required.

Industrial Washing & Processing

Suitable for foam control in industrial washing, cleaning and other aqueous processing systems.

Application Guide

Formulation & Dilution: NV-DF9503 is a 100% active compound and must be converted into a water-based emulsion or organic dispersion prior to direct application in aqueous foaming media.

Emulsification Protocol: Stable aqueous emulsions can be prepared by blending NV-DF9503 with commercially available non-ionic emulsifiers, suitable thickeners/stabilizers, and industrial preservatives using standard high-shear emulsification equipment.

Handling & Precautions

Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Wear protective gloves and safety goggles during handling.

Ensure adequate ventilation in the operating area.

Clean up spills immediately with absorbent materials to prevent slip hazards.

Do not add strong acids, alkalis, or inorganic salts directly into the neat emulsion container.

Packaging & Storage:

Packaging: Supplied in 200 kg drums.

Storage Conditions: Store in unopened original containers at ambient temperatures (5°C to 35°C). Keep away from direct sunlight, open flames, and heat sources. Do not contaminate with strong acids, alkalis, salts, or organic solvents. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent microbial or dirt contamination.

Shelf Life: 12 months from the manufacturing date under recommended storage conditions. Re-inspection is recommended after expiry; the product remains suitable for use if key technical parameters meet requirements.
