Product Description

The NV-SiF310 Series consists of premium, 100% fluorinated methyl trifluoropropyl silicone fluids engineered for extreme operating environments where standard dimethyl or phenyl silicone oils fail. By incorporating polar trifluoropropyl groups (CH2CH2CF3) onto the siloxane backbone, these fluids combine the exceptional thermal stability of silicone with the superior chemical, solvent, and fuel resistance of fluorocarbons.

The NV-SiF310 Series delivers outstanding boundary lubrication profiles (especially for steel-on-steel contacts), low volatility, high flash points, and a wide service temperature range (-40℃ to 204℃). It is highly recommended for severe-service vacuum pumps, chemical processing equipment, and aerospace hydraulic components.

Key Benefits & Features

Unmatched Chemical & Fuel Resistance: Virtually insoluble in petroleum oils, diesel, gasoline, jet fuels, toluene, and many aggressive organic solvents.

Superior Boundary Lubrication: The polar trifluoropropyl group dramatically enhances load-carrying capacity and wear reduction, providing excellent steel-on-steel lubrication.

Low Volatility & High Thermal Ceiling: Less than 5% evaporation loss at 200℃ensures consistent fluid levels and stable performance in high-temperature or vacuum environments.

Excellent Viscosity-Temperature Stability: Maintains highly predictable fluid properties and mechanical dampening across severe thermal fluctuations.

Applications

1. Lubricating Base Oil & Grease Formulation

Serves as the primary base fluid for manufacturing high-consistency specialty Fluorosilicone greases and pastes, providing absolute resistance to chemical attack and oxidative degradation.

2. High-Performance Lubrication & Sealing

Mechanical & Fuel-Washed Components: Reliable lubrication for bearings, O-rings, and seals exposed to constant washing by aviation fuels, gasoline, or degreasing solvents.

Reactive Gas Handling: Ideal for compressors and mechanical seals processing reactive gases, oxygen, halogenated compounds, and corrosive vapors.

Vapor Cycle Engines: Robust performance in closed-loop systems handling steam, Freon®, or other specialty refrigerants.

3. Superior Defoaming in Aggressive Media

Solvent-Based Systems: Engineered for foam control in chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic solvents, and petroleum fractions where conventional silicones fail or dissolve.

Chemical & Oil/Gas Processing: Efficient antifoaming agent for textile finishing, high-pressure chemical reactions, and critical gas-liquid separation in crude oil processing.

4. High-Vacuum Fluids

Utilized in vacuum pumps and processing equipment exposed to reactive chemical drafts or solvent vapors.

5. Damping Medium

Provides severe-service vibration isolation for dashpots in automotive instruments and aviation electronics.

Application Guide

Material Compatibility: Fully compatible with fluorosilicone rubbers (FVMQ) and fluorocarbon elastomers (FKM). Standard silicone rubbers (VMQ) or low-nitrile rubbers may swell upon prolonged contact.

Blending & Dilution: Fluorosilicone fluids are not miscible with standard dimethyl silicone oils or mineral oils. They can be diluted with specialty ketones or chlorinated solvents if required for coating processes.

Handling & Precautions

Ensure adequate ventilation when operating equipment near the upper limit (204℃).

Avoid exposing the fluid to open flames or temperatures exceeding 250℃, as thermal decomposition can release hazardous fluorinated vapors (such as hydrogen fluoride).

Review the full Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before handling.

Storage

Store in original, hermetically sealed containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Keep away from direct sunlight and incompatible oxidizing materials.

Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions.
