Key Benefits & Features
Hybrid polyether-silicone defoaming system
Fast foam reduction
Durable foam-control performance
Suitable for use at relatively low addition levels
Water-dilutable concentrate
Suitable for incorporation into aqueous industrial formulations
Applicable to metalworking, industrial cleaning and cooling-liquid systems
Applications
Metalworking Fluids
NV-DF9101 is suitable for foam control in metalworking fluid systems where foam generated during fluid circulation and processing needs to be controlled.
The hybrid polyether-silicone composition makes the product suitable for evaluation in a range of aqueous metalworking formulations.
Application testing is recommended to determine compatibility with the specific metalworking fluid formulation.
Industrial Cleaning
NV-DF9101 can be used for foam control in industrial cleaning and washing systems, particularly in formulations containing surfactants and other foam-generating components.
It can be incorporated into suitable cleaning formulations or applied directly according to the specific process requirements.
Cooling Liquids
NV-DF9101 is suitable for foam control in industrial cooling-liquid systems where excessive foam may interfere with circulation, heat transfer or normal process operation.
The optimum dosage and addition method should be determined according to the specific cooling-liquid formulation and operating conditions.
Surfactant-Containing Aqueous Systems
NV-DF9101 may also be evaluated in other aqueous systems containing surfactants or other foam-generating ingredients.
The product is particularly suitable where a combination of rapid foam reduction and persistent foam control is required.
Application Guide
NV-DF9101 is supplied as a concentrated defoamer.
The product can be incorporated directly into suitable formulations or diluted according to the requirements of the application.
Reference addition level:0.05–0.20%
The optimum addition point, dosage, addition method and dilution ratio should be determined according to the actual process conditions.
For direct addition, it is recommended to introduce NV-DF9101 at a location where sufficient mixing or circulation is available to promote rapid and uniform dispersion throughout the foaming system.
When used as a formulation component, compatibility testing should be conducted with the other formulation ingredients before commercial production.
Handling & Precautions
Wear appropriate protective eyewear and gloves during handling.
Ensure adequate local ventilation in operating areas.
Clean up spills immediately using absorbent sand or sawdust to prevent slip hazards.
Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Avoid mixing directly with concentrated strong acids or oxidizers.
