NV-PC201-2  is a clear, colorless, and odorless linear silicone fluid. It is a member of the volatile methyl siloxane (VMS) family, though it has a higher boiling point and lower volatility compared to L3 (octamethyltrisiloxane) and L4 (decamethyltetrasiloxane). It serves as a highly effective emollient and carrier fluid, providing a longer-lasting lubricity and a smooth, silky skin feel.

Formulation Guide:

 Generally stable and compatible with most common cosmetic ingredients including hydrocarbons and other silicones.

 It should be added to the oil phase.

 Due to its higher flash point, it can be processed at slightly higher temperatures than D4 or D5, but it is still recommended to add it below 60°C in open-vessel formulations to maintain product consistency.

Recommended Usage Level:

Skin Care: 2% – 15%

Color Cosmetics: 5% – 40%

Hair Care: 1% – 5%

Industrial Applications: 10% – 100% (as required)

Handling & Precautions:

Store in a cool, well-ventilated area.

While less volatile than L4, containers should remain sealed to prevent contamination and minor evaporation.

Avoid contact with eyes; in case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.

Packaging & Shelf Life:

Packaging: Typically supplied in 170kg drums or 850kg IBC tanks.

Shelf Life: 24 months when stored in the original, unopened container at room temperature (below 30°C). Keep away from direct sunlight.
