Product Description:

NV-PC902 is a clear to slightly translucent silicone elastomer gel. It serves as a multifunctional sensory modifier and thickening agent specifically designed for Water-in-Silicone (W/Si) emulsions, Water-in-Oil (W/O) emulsions, and anhydrous formulations. It provides an exceptional, long-lasting silky smoothness and a "dry" powdery finish that eliminates the greasiness of organic oils.

Using Method & Formulation Guide:

Mixing: Can be easily dispersed into the oil or silicone phase using simple mechanical mixing

Addition Phase: May be added to the oil phase before emulsification or post-added to finished emulsions if the system has sufficient viscosity to ensure uniform distribution.

Viscosity Adjustment: To ease handling, the gel can be pre-blended with low-viscosity Dimethicone or Cyclomethicone.

Processing Temperature: If heat is necessary for other ingredients, do not exceed 60°C and ensure the vessel is enclosed to prevent the evaporation of Cyclopentasiloxane.

Recommended Dosage:

As a Sensory Modifier: 3.0% – 10.0%

Used in lotions and creams to eliminate greasiness and provide a silky initial touch.

In Concealer Products: 5.0% – 20.0%

Helps to suspend high pigment loads and prevents "creasing" in fine lines.

As a Secondary Thickening Agent: 5.0% – 50.0%

Used in W/Si or anhydrous systems to build viscosity and improve emulsion stability.

In Foundations & Mousse Products: 5.0% – 60.0%

Acts as the structural matrix for mousse-textured cosmetics, providing a "bouncy" feel and a soft-focus finish.

Handling & Precautions:

Volatility: Contains Cyclopentasiloxane; ensure containers are tightly sealed when not in use to prevent solvent evaporation and surface hardening.

Static Safety: Ground equipment during bulk transfer to prevent static discharge, as the carrier is a combustible liquid.

Physical Handling: This product is thixotropic and may appear lumpy after storage. It will return to its original smooth state upon moderate agitation.

Safety: Wear safety goggles and gloves. Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhalation of vapors.

Packaging & Shelf Life:

Packaging: 20kg plastic pails or 200kg iron drums.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place between 10°C and 40°C. Protect from direct sunlight, acids, and alkalis.

Shelf Life: 24months from the date of manufacture in the original unopened container.
