Product name:Fluorosilicone Antifoam Agent
Product code: NV-DF 9051
Active Ingredient: 100% Poly(3,3,3-trifluoropropylmethylsiloxane)
CAS No.: 63148-56-1
Product Description
NV-DF 9051 is a 100% active, non-reactive fluorosilicone fluid designed specifically for heavy-duty defoaming and antifoaming applications in aggressive environments. Due to its unique chemical structure, NV-DF 9051 provides extraordinary resistance to harsh chemicals, organic solvents, and extreme temperatures where conventional dimethyl silicone antifoams fail, dissolve, or promote foam. It delivers ultra-high efficiency and persistent foam suppression at extremely low addition rates.
Typical propertes:
Appearance:Colorless to light-yellow transparent liquid
Active Content (%):100%
Working Temperature Range: -40℃ to 204℃
Volatility (200℃ / 4 hr) :≤ 5%
Fluorinated silicone content: 100% (mol%)
Viscosity @ 25℃ (mPa.s):1000±100 (300±50 and 500±50 options available)

Key Benefits & Features
Extreme Chemical & Solvent Resistance: Insoluble in chlorinated solvents, petroleum fractions, and most aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Efficient Foam Control:Provides rapid foam knockdown and long-lasting foam suppression at ultra-low dosages .
Wide Thermal Window: Maintains reliable performance across an extreme temperature range (-40℃to 204℃).
Low Surface Tension: The low surface tension of the fluorosilicone fluid promotes rapid spreading at the foam interface and contributes to efficient foam suppression.
Low Refractive Index: Provides good optical and formulation characteristics.
Non-Reactive Structure: Chemically inert, non-reactive and non-corrosive under recommended application conditions, with good resistance to oxidation.
Excellent Chemical and Solvent Resistance:Provides high resistance to aggressive chemical environments and selected organic solvents where conventional silicone antifoams may have limited compatibility.
Applications
Chemical & Petroleum Processing: Effective Defoamer for solvent-based chemical reactions, petroleum refining, and gas-liquid separation processes where conventional silicones are incompatible or chemically degraded.
Oil & Gas Industry: Foam control in severe solvent loops, amine units, glycol dehydration systems, and crude oil extraction systems.
Dry Cleaning & Chlorinated Solvents: Unique, specialized defoamer for chlorinated hydrocarbon systems and perchloroethylene systems where conventional silicones swell or dissolve.
Solvent-Based Formulations: Suitable for systems in which conventional polydimethylsiloxane antifoams may have insufficient compatibility or persistence.
Textile Industry: High-performance defoamer for solvent-based textile processing; also used in hydrophobic and oleophobic fabric finishing.
Fuel & Lubricant Systems:Specialized antifoam for aviation fuels, hydraulic fluids, and synthetic lubricants, where insolubility and chemical inertness are critical.
Harsh Chemical Environments: Suitable for strongly acidic, alkaline, or oxidizing media where standard
Application Guide
Recommended Dosage:
Starting evaluation level: 5 to 50 ppm based on total system volume.
Optimal dosage should be determined through bench trials, as requirements vary significantly with system viscosity, foam severity, and operating conditions.
Viscosity Selection:
Lower viscosity grades disperse more readily and act faster; higher viscosity grades provide longer-lasting foam control but require more vigorous agitation for adequate dispersion.
Handling & Precautions
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety goggles, protective gloves).
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, flush immediately with plenty of water.
Avoid inhalation of solvent vapors during the dilution step.
Storage & Packaging:
Packaging Options: Available in 5 KG, 25 KG, and 250 KG plastic drums.
Storage Conditions: Store in tightly sealed, airproof containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, open flames, strong acids, alkalis, and oxidizing agents.
Transport: Classified and transported as non-dangerous goods.
Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened, original containers under recommended conditions.
